This is an innovative direction of farming, which is considered as one of the directions of green tourism.
Social farming aims to increase social protection, healthy environment at ecological enterprise (farm) for local population, ecotourists, farmers and their families, information-rich and interesting life in a large community on the basis of eco-enterprise for a short period.
Social farming is a type of green tourism, which provides for short-term residence of people on the territory of eco-enterprise and involvement in training and types of work on their choice with the possibility of independent production of goods, which they can then take with them. It is also possible to take on permanent service of bee colonies that belong to and are placed on the territory of eco-enterprise and to receive products from them on a permanent basis, i.e. the strategy “from your own hive to your own table”. The benefit for the consumer is mental, spiritual, physical and social rehabilitation.
Social farming also aims to spread the philosophy of preserving biodiversity, healthy lifestyles and the slogan of LILOGOS – “Preservation of the Created”
